Some such advantages include the ease of use, the cashback points you stand to earn, the protection you gain against ID fraud and most important of all, the rights you can legally claim thanks to Section 75 Consumer Credit Act.

This act instituted in 1974 benefits borrowers and since that’s what you are when you make use of your credit card instead of say, cash or your debit card. This act protects customers using credit cards from ever having to pay for any products or services that weren’t received by them, that were received in a defective state or that were different from what they were described to be.

Any spending for such goods that’s amounts to any sum between £100 – £30,000, can be claimed from the credit card company/bank. This amount has to be for a sole item purchased and cannot include any extra charges such as shipping. However, exceptions are made for a couple of items that may have been purchased via a combination offer such as “2 for the price of 1.
